Clark Global City – The Philippines’ New Center
The problem with Manila’s population congestion can no longer be remedied by half-measures and Clark Global City might just be the full-measure solution that we’re looking for.
Nestled in the space between Mabalacat, Angeles, and Clark’s current infrastructure is 177 hectares of land that’s currently being developed by Global Gateway Development Corporation (GGDC). This land will soon be the home of Clark Global City, which will supposedly be the new center of the modern Philippines.
Planned to be a mixed-use central business district that provide world-class office space for international companies and top tier local companies alike, Clark Global City is the most sought-after development outside of the capital.
Designed to be transport oriented with a neighborhood concept, GGDC hopes that top-tier companies in Manila will move their offices 80km away, essentially recentering the country’s business center.
DataLand Inc. is the First of Many
DataLand Inc. has already expressed interest in building not just an office building but a dormitel and a hotel as well.
DataLand Inc. currently has residential condominiums in Manila and in Mandaluyong. Further south, it also owns The Ivy Wall Hotel in Palawan.
Clark Global City’s 10 Year Master Plan
On November 19, 2019, construction on Clark Global City has officially started. This means that if all goes according to plan, it’s final phase will be completed by 2029.
The current progress of the city’s development seems promising with 47 hectares already equipped with disaster-ready horizontal infrastructures. These infrastructures are mainly comprised of water drainage systems, road lanes, and underground networks.
Once completed, Clark Global City will be home to international and local companies, world class retail outlets, cutting-edge educational institutions, a sprawling urban park, a wide array of amenities.
